    How Deep Cuts works

Every day there's one football question with lots of correct answers, like "Name a player who has played for both Chelsea and AC Milan". Anyone can name the obvious one. Deep Cuts rewards the player who knows the one nobody else thinks of.

    💎Deep cut (85+): almost nobody found it 🔥Rare find (65-84) 👍Solid shout (35-64) 😴Common pick (10-34) 🐑Everyone said it (under 10)

Deep Cuts only recognises players in the Ball Knowledge database. If you type a name we don't have, it won't cost you anything.

    FAQ

How do you play Deep Cuts?

Each day there is one football question, such as "Name a player who has played for both Chelsea and AC Milan". Type a player who fits. You bank up to 3 correct answers, and you can make up to 3 mistakes. Every correct answer is scored on how obscure it is: the fewer people who gave the same answer, the more points you get, up to 100 per answer.

How is the Deep Cuts score worked out?

Each correct answer scores from 0 to 100 depending on how rarely other players give it. The most common answer scores close to 0 and an answer almost nobody finds scores close to 100. Your total out of 300 is the sum of your three picks.

Is there a new Deep Cuts question every day?

Yes. A new question goes live at midnight UK time, and everyone gets the same one.

Can I play past Deep Cuts questions?

Yes. Use the arrows or the calendar button at the top of the game to play any earlier day. Every past question keeps its own leaderboard and its own pick statistics. Only today's question earns XP.

Why do some real players not count?

Deep Cuts only recognises players in the Ball Knowledge player database, which grows over time. If you type a name we don't know it costs you nothing, and we log it so the player can be added.
